Are you tired of having nothing fun to do, no interesting intellectually engaging friends to hang out with, either working that same 9-5 and never taking time to smell the roses or just sitting at home on a perfectly good Friday night alone knowing perfectly well you should be out partaking in all life has to offer? Or is it the other way around, are you always on the go, always visiting cultural exhibits, participating in grassroot events and/or checking items off your ever growing "bucket list", but you wish could find your niche, a savvy adventurous open-minded welcoming group of people who share your interests? Well either way, You're In Luck!... 

 

Introducing (Drum roll please...) The Culture Vultures, one of the newest culturally-hip, socially-conscious, fun loving networking groups to hit Meetup.com. Don't let the name fool you, we are a gentle bunch lol...And whether it's grass-root events or random fun meet-ups you're looking for, The Culture Vultures have it under control. We're always on a scavenger hunt for new cultural experiences and when we find them, we dive right on in! 

Culture is everywhere~ we live it, breathe it, exude it, embody it. Our members come from all different walks of life, but what unites us is our hunger to explore the amazing things that life has to offer in hopes of expanding our horizons and our desire to help others who have been oppressed in some form or fashion to feel life's magnificence as well through our group's occasional joint volunteer and community service efforts.

All are welcome regardless of age, race or creed as long as you come with an open mind, a loving heart and a willing spirit. For our members' sake, we try to vary the locations of our events, some are in Jersey, some are in NY and some are out of the Tri-State area altogether. You may even suggest a meetup that interests you and which you feel would interest other group members. If approved after talking it over briefly with the group's organizers (via email even), the organizers will in turn help you to coordinate the details and announce the event to the group as an official meetup! 

NOTE: Group Organizers ask that you only RSVP to an Event if you're going to attend (Please keep your RSVP's updated, as we do not tolerate "No-Shows"). Also a "NO" RSVP is not necessary and is a tad counterproductive, unless you are reversing a previous decision to attend, in which case it is fine.  (:
