Hi- My name is Chris and I am a CO native. I own a personal training & adventures business called 'Beyond.' Most people are quick to realize that very few people in CO are actually 'from' CO! When I talk to people (even natives), When it comes to hiking, I often find that people don't really know how to start, where to go, or what to bring. They just see the start of a huge mountain range and know that they're definitely not going to just set off on foot on some trail. This is how I developed the idea to show people the health and fitness benefits of hiking, how and where to hike in CO, when to start and be back, what to wear, dangers involved, what to eat, etc... I categorize the hikes on 5 different skill levels: Beginner, Beginner/Intermediate, Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, and Advanced. I mix our hikes up with: Popular CO hikes, unique and lesser known hikes, above tree-line hikes, 13ers & 14ers, trail runs, night hikes, and snowshoeing. Some of the things we will experience on these hikes are: Wildlife, rivers/streams, waterfalls, wild flowers, pine/aspen forests, montane/subalpine/alpine ecosystems, residual snow in the summer, alpine lakes, tundra, fresh air, blue skies & puffy white clouds, sunrises & sunsets, stars, tranquility, etc. I know...it's rough living in CO! ;) A lot of us (even natives!) take this amazing state for granted. You will quickly discover why people from all around the world spend their vacations here. So lets plan a hike, meetup, and go enjoy our beautiful backyard. Oh yes...one more thing...don't forget your camera! See you at the trail head :)
