I wanted to see if folks in the group are interested in a group exercise "bootcamp". I've been running my version of a bootcamp for over 2 years now, and want to offer something similar for the group. It's FREE and always FREE.
Because diabetics are automatically high-risk per the ACSM Risk Factors, I will need doctor's clearance from each participant before starting the bootcamp, hence I think an initial meeting to discuss what works best for everyone would be great. Of course, I will tailor and customize the workouts to best fit the needs of the group.
I'm a Certified Personal Trainer and my mother has had Diabetes for many years, and continues to work with it. Through diet and exercise, we've found a way to help her cope better, reduce her dependence on medication, and have a more healthy lifestyle, with exercise as a major part.
We'll meet at my place on an evening in June, hope that works for everyone. If folks have time, we can watch the documentary, "Raw for 30 Days", which chronicles Dr. Gabriel Cousens experience with 6 diabetics radically changing their diets and making amazing progress.
