Artswave Amazing Race

So for those of you who did not do the Cincididatrod, did it and loved it, or wanted a cheaper option for running around downtown doing crazy things check this out: Let me know if you are interested. I will bracket teams based on their competitive nature, speed (let's run the whole time), cool with anything (run or walk whatever), just for fun (walk the whole time). Please post which one describes you best.

Amazing Arts Race
Discover the incredible art that our city has to offer in ArtsWave's signature YP event, inspired by the hit reality series The Amazing Race. Teams of 2-4 race to complete a series of arts challenges in Downtown Cincinnati including finding works of art and architecture, answering arts trivia, and making art themselves. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams, and there will be random prize drawings throughout the day. $15/person; register your team today! The Amazing Arts Race is generously sponsored by the Taft Museum of Art with support of The Thomas J. Emery Memorial and The Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Danny, Lainie, Erin, Since this seems to be more about driving than running, what do you think about combining our teams? I don't think the walkers will slow down the runners too much. :D

Hey everyone, Let's meet at Rhinegheist Brewery at 12:30pm. We will then carpool in four cars (since there are four teams) to Mad Tree Brewery. Who ever is your driver should not park, but wait in their car to pick the team up. I did not realize this race was mostly driving :(, But I think it will still be fun.

In case you did not get the email, here are the highlights: We ask that you arrive at MadTree Brewery (5164 Kennedy Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45213) around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, and no later than 1:30 p.m. to check in, get your materials, and await the first task/clue.

To prepare for the event, please:

Determine which vehicle will be used for the event and, if at all possible, plan to carpool to MadTree together in that car. Each team should use 1 vehicle for the event, and we highly recommend that extra cars be left in or near Over-the-Rhine for easy access following the after-party at Rhinegeist Brewery.

Plan to eat beforehand as food will not be available until the after-party.

Bring change for parking meters and at least a few small bills to tip your bartender.

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes and clothing. You might need to make a trek on foot!

Drive safely—no prize is worth getting in an accident!

What about dressing up as an artist like van gogh with one ear covered, Dali with his mustash, pbs's Bob Ross and his big hair, any artist with a beret and artist smock or even a work of art like the Mona Lisa. Whatever we decide, we should keep it simple since we will be running.

    April 3

We will each be individual teams. For instance my team is actually "Dirty Martinis Team 1". Then each team should pick it's theme. I will organize the meeting location so that we all find each other.
