FarmTour FieldTrip to CSA, Increasing Awareness whereby To Live More Consciously

Hello All Co-Journeyers Wishing to Broaden Awareness and Step More into Manifesting Sustainable Living starting with your own home/yard/garden..., Perhaps you have heard of the growing CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farm Movement where farms "local" to LA deliver organic farm fresh produce to doorsteps. Well the organic farm we are visiting supplies a CSA named "Farm Fresh to You" and is opening up to offer a farm tour on this Saturday of June 19th, 2010 from 11AM to 3PM Thus, we are coordinating a field trip to allow participation where serving. The idea is to increase awareness whereby to live more consciously. Yeehaaaw! We will carpool as compactly as possible. Hybrid drivers wanted for this purpose. The drive is around 2 hours. At 11AM the farm open house begins while a guided tour starts at 11:30AM with a trailer ride around the farm with the owners. There will be a pitch in for gas from each passenger and
pack a lunch which we will share together amidst the day. Be sure to bring a picnic blanket to set this up under their prized oak trees, and then we can pick fresh blackberries for dessert. We will meet at GATEWAY's parking lot as carpool launching location at 9AM. Address: 2503 S. Barrington Ave (NW intersection with Gateway Blvd) West LA, CA 90064 RSVP Right Here on Meetup. More about this farm and its journey can be read about at
http://www.farmfresht... Address of the farm is: 12630 Santa Catalina Road Valley Center, CA 92082 Map of it is at

    Update:
More details have been provided so I've added them to the description & I share them w/you:
At 11AM the farm openhouse begins while a guided tour starts at 11:30AM w/a trailer ride around the farm w/the owners.

The picnicking will take place under their prized oak trees, & they've granted us permission to pick fresh blackberries for dessert.

Mmm, mm! Who's bringing the cream, or maybe we can get it right from the cows if they have any there or on a nearby organic dairy farm :o)

Hi Organic Farming & Produce Lovers!

See you this Sat at 9AM in GATEWAY's Parking Lot. If you have any questions bet now & then, give a call 310/479-0430. Please bring a lunch as we will feast together during the time we share (picnic blanket too if you have one in case we do this on an open grassy area). I will print directions; *wondering who other driver will be as again hybrids/alternative fuel cars invited for this purpose. We will exchange numbers to use along the way as necessary...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
