What to expect from this workshop:

-Will any exercises included nakedness and sexual touching?

Absolutely not. There will be no undressing. All touch will be respectful and consensual. Examples of touch are hugging, holding hands, touching the back… We will focus on breath work, meditation, mindful touching and movement. The exercises are designed to enhance the upward-flow of energy in your body. They will get you in touch with your primal emotions as you learn to give and receive warmth and support. Some practices are solitary, others are in small groups or with a partner. You are absolutely in control of your own experience; you can choose to participate or not at any given moment. This workshop is about supporting you in your awareness growth process.

-Will I get hit on if I attend alone?

Nope. We will create an atmosphere of safety, trust and honesty. Tantra is a path of meditation, self-discovery and love. This workshop is about reconnecting with self - it is not a pick-up joint. There are plenty of singles of both sexes and also couples attending.

-What if I’ve had traumatic experiences that make me overly inhibited?

The majority of people have experienced trauma or abuse in some way. You will find that most people attending this workshop have exactly the same worries as you. Tantra is a powerful, therapeutic tool to release fear and inhibition. It will help you to reclaim joy and (re)discover gratefulness for your amazing body.

A small note: Please be on time to demonstrate respect to all members of the group. We are creating a sacred space of transformation for all participants. There will be no refund for cancellations. Bring a blanket or cushion to lie on and wear comfortable clothes that allow a little stretching. Also, please bring some water. We do offer an organic, vegetarian lunch during the one hour lunch break.

We also practice and ask all to adhere to a no candle and no incense burning policy for those sensitive to synthetic smells as well as for lessening our harmful carbon footprint impact on the environment. Please note that practitioners are permitted to burn a naturally sun dried herb called sage to clean the space energetically. & lastly where candles are part of a sacred ritual, safe, non-scented candles are permitted to be burned upon expressed consent by GATEWAY's operating director. * Also, in as much as we LOVE animals outside humans, no animals other than humans are permitted inside The GATEWAY. Blessedly this does not eliminate our Practitioners here at GATEWAY from being able to do work on them, as often they work remotely and/or with photos or props. We thank the universe for Quantum on that. Where necessary, the Practitioner may set up chairs and a portable divider to makeshift a little private area outside near our patio to do hands on work with animals.
