The Geek Group of Western Mass

The Geek Group of Western Mass is a group formed to get a physical space where members can get together to share, learn, create and collaborate with each other. Anyone can join, regardless of experience.

In order to help us with bring this dream to reality, we are teaming up with "The Geek Group", to become come their very first Chapter.

So if you're interested in making things, hacking, programming or just hanging out with like-minded individuals, come join us. We plan on having tiered member rates ranging from free to $50/month depending on your level of participation.

We now have a shop in Indian Orchard, at the Indian Orchard Mills ( www.indianorchardmills.com )and are open for regular Tuesday night meetings from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. (For Tuesday nights meetings - Please call 413-342-0419 and someone will let you in the building)

This is going to be a very exciting and challenging time for us, as a group, as we Start up the shop, Please join us for more info and check out, The Geek Group.

Current projects include: sending a weather balloon with a payload into near-space and capture pictures of the Earth's horizon. This project is apart of a larger competition. More information can be found at http://workshop88.com/space.

We would also like to hold open hacking events, teach classes and do pretty much anything that gets people making stuff.

  • Your organizer closes their Meetup Group
  • Your organizer removes or bans you from their Meetup Group

This covers: Dues cover use of the shop, meetup site, group projects and some materials.

Payment is accepted using:

  • Amazon Payments
  • Cash or check - “Dues payable to either Glenn or Pat by cash, check, or money order”
