Monthly Book Club

Read, Meet, Talk and Enjoy! ...that's what we do with the books at our gatherings.

It's a wonderful group of ladies who meet monthly, and discuss the book of the month.  We meet at each others' homes and learn, laugh and get to know each other. We select books based upon participating member suggestions. If you enjoy reading and expanding your horizons...join us!

Book: Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka

Host: Nancy

Facilitator: Regina

Special Event: Book Exchange (in addition to our book discussion)

For the book exchange, you can bring any book that is in good condition, new or not, and has not already been read in book club (On the menu above, click on 'more' then 'files' to see what has be read back through 2011).  Wrap or bag it, so it's a blind selection. We'll do it like a Yankee Swap.  Also, when your book is selected, you'll share with us 'why' you selected that particular book for the exchange.  Hope you'll join in the fun!

I am SO sorry to miss tonight, but I just got back from being out and the roads are pretty bad! The older I get, the less I like to take chances. Too bad, too because I have my book wrapped and ready to go, and I love going to Nancy's!! Have fun!!

It's so nice to be popular! Thanks Rebecca. Maybe it's time to add a second section of the book club. It could be the same book, but two meeting dates. If one night didn't work for you, you could go on the other date. Maybe one on Tuesday night and the other on Wednesday night. Everyone could go back and forth between the two - a chance to meet more people, have interesting discussions, and keep the discussion groups small enough that everyone gets a chance to share. Just something to think about.

Diane- Sounds like you're still not attending this evening, so I've changed your 'Yes' rsvp to a 'No'. Please let me know if this is incorrect.

Congratulations Ladies! We have our first "waitlist" for Book Club. If you are signed up as a YES, please ensure you are committed to attend, out of respect for those who are on the waitlist. Thanks for being conscientious!

    Welcome to our newcomers!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
