Eindhoven Cares Halloween Night for Kids

Eindhoven Cares is a non-profit organisation for flexible volunteer work and CSR. On Friday 25th October, they need 15 volunteers to help with a Halloween party with kids from the partly disadvantaged Burghplan neighbourhood.

It will be a wonderful opportunity for members of the Hub to be involved in the local community, meet other expats and local Dutch volunteers, make new friends but most importantly: put a smile on a child's face :)

It starts at 6 pm. Volunteers will be dressed up and have candy for the kids. Volunteers  will pick up the kids from their homes and go to a real ghosthouse! Afterwards, the volunteers will accompany the kids going door to door for some Trick Or Treat!

There are snacks and hot chocolate to keep you warm.

More info Eindhoven Cares

Eindhoven Cares is a non-profit organisation for flexible volunteer work and CSR. By offering flexible volunteer work without a recurring obligation and outside office hours we aim to mobilize students and (young) professionals. The activities are hands on and always fit your schedule. Volunteering is the perfect way to get to know other people, especially if you have just arrived in the Netherlands. You get in touch with locals that you wouldn't meet at work or at university, you volunteer with other (young) professionals and students and you can practice your Dutch. Hi Komal, it's great that you're going to participate and help make Halloween fun for the kids! It is not a problem if you do not speak Dutch. There will be volunteers there who are able to translate from Dutch to English. As this activity has been posted on the Hub's meetup page, we understand if members signing up do not speak Dutch! A car is not necessary as you will be walking with the children. You can bike or take public transport to the place. Don't forget to register for the event via the Eindhoven Cares website!

I would like to participate in this event, however, I cannot speak Dutch and do not own a car. Will that be a problem?
