Galette des Rois - French tradition

The "Galette des Rois" is the symbolic cake of the Epiphany. It was in the ancient times the "cake of kings" because at the same time, the farmers gave their fee. The "Galette des Rois" has also became a family appointment widespread. Every first Sunday of January, families gather to designate with a bean crept into the "Galette des Rois" a King or a Queen.
