Come and join other Expats for an educational evening on Stratumseind.
Outline of the evening
The aim of ‘Going Out with Parents´ is to inform parents of children that are, or will be going out in Eindhoven about what their children will come across, in particular on Stratumseind, to provide them with a good and personal impression of the possible risks during a night out. What does it involve?
Parents will be welcomed by the City Councillor, there will be a short introduction before visiting Stratumseind in four small groups, each accompanied by two members of the city council. Parents will visit 4 cafés, in each café a specific theme will be presented.
The themes are:
1. Drugs and teenagers (presentation by the addiction care institute Novadic-Kentron)
2. The proactive working method (presentation of the Association of Cafés, Statumseind)
3. Going out and violence (presentation by the Police, in collaboration with the Porters group)
4. Alcohol and teenagers (presentation by the Municipal Public Health Services – GGD Brabant-Zuid Oost)
Each visit will take approximately twenty minutes. Parents are welcomed with a drink followed by a presentation and the opportunity to ask questions. After 20 minutes you will leave for the next café for another presentation. The four parent groups rotate the cafes, each receiving four presentations by the end of the evening. After the four visits, the four groups will end together in the Youth Centre Dynamo.
