We intend to do a series of weekly meetings, and hope to be producing some of our own writing and analysis. We are calling the series of workshops "The Death of Capitalism and a Call for Human Rights." The idea is to work through Marxist theory and analysis, and apply it to a critical understanding of the crisis of capitalism as we see it today. We don't intend simply to revisit Marxist thinking from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, but to rethink it as a critical tool for understanding and responding to the social, economic, and political transformations we are seeing today at the dawn of the twenty-first century.
