I've been a sailor most of my life and one of my accomplishments was designing and building a ridgid wing sailboat that you drive like a car. I'm currently designing a radically different sailing kayak. In my workshop, I have a storage loft so I designed and built an elevator so I wouldn't have to lug things up stairs (it also saved a lot of floor space). My shop is 1800 sq.ft. and incorporates a woodshop and machine shop. Mostly I enjoy the challenge of designing and building somethng that has not existed before. I dislike doing things the way everyone else does.
I've been making things my entire life. I was a computer programmer in the 70's and 80's. Quit that and became a cabinetmaker. I'm also a machinist and have my own 1800 sq.ft. machine shop and wood shop. Currently retired making whatever I want.
