It is up to each of YOU to schedule MeetUps.MeetUps areheld all around the Oakland/East Bay area, and vary from fully enclosed dog parks, partially enclosed dog friendly areas, hikes, beaches and anything else you think of! It's a great time for all. Out-of-area members are welcome, and can still enjoy this group via neat member discounts at on-line shops, the message board, newsletter, etc! TWO DOGS PER HANDLER
There is a weekly Point Isabel MeetUp. Members are encouraged to RSVP if attending, as it always results in more folks going!

This group is not to be used as a venue to "match" dogs for breeding.
While so many die in shelters, please consider adoption. The CWDF provides a variety of adoption assistance services. Intact dogs* and reputable breeders are always welcome, but anyone soliciting other members to breed their dog(s) will be respectfully removed from the group permanently.
*Intact dogs: always indicate on your MeetUp RSVPs; limit one intact dog per event; NEVER attend a MeetUp with a female in heat; kindly leave an event if your intact dog results in any disturbance; please do not RSVP to an event w/an intact dog already in attendance if you it will be a problem for your dog
The OGSG endorses Modern Force-Free dog training. Out of respect for the comfort level of all OGSG members, we insist that members refrain from discussing, suggesting, or promoting aversive (correction) based dog training methods within the group. Dangers of pinch/prong/e collars explained here.
Rescue Groups and Volunteers: Please join and spread the word about your dogs in need. Rescue dogs available for adoption are always welcome on meetups, please announce your attendance on the meetups.
