The 1st meetup for The Phat Startup represented lovely. And to kick it off with Mick Boogie (Phat) & Skillshare (Startup) was on point. Key takeaway of the night is when Mick said he "came to NYC as a 6th man, instead of looking to make the team". What a jewel on building competitive advantages in your own local (geo, market, customer segment) niche. Congrats on kicking off the meetup series ... keep it pushin'!!!

What's up everyone! Tonight is going to be insane. We will have people from the music tech scene including startup folks, venture capitalists, and various entrepreneurs from different levels. Network, make those connects, and most importantly learn and have fun. Also come with your questions for MICK, make sure you get your moneys worth!

Really looking forward to this talk! The market is getting so saturated, I can't wait to hear Mick's thoughts on how to keep it fresh and build solid businesses, esp. e-biz and create real value in the industry.
