"I’m one of two product managers at Wind Products ( http://www.wind-produ... ).  Our company is dedicated to making distributed wind turbines more viable in places where people live and work.  We started out with a wind turbine design and a $1m grant from NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) to pioneer wind energy in urban areas, and in doing so, realized the larger problem was that people needed to understand whether they had an adequate wind resource.  I joined one year ago to launch the new wind analysis software tool as the company’s first employee.  We have since grown to 7 employees, and secured further public and private funding to serve this new market. "
