This is a laid back social and activity group for LGBTQ+ folks that are more introverted. We schedule a variety of activities all year long, and we also have a regular board/card game meetup every month.
The irony about introverts, is that once we get to know each other, we can get quite chatty and lively. We have a lot of fun at our meetups in a low pressure type of setting. Once we have found more of our "own kind" we feel less shy and more comfortable in social situations, since we tend to avoid more "extroverted" environments like bars, loud venues, or meetups with giant groups, etc. We have a lot of members, but our meetups tend to be more "intimate" with an introvert friendly setting.
So if this sounds like you, come join us! Guests of members are welcome at most of our meetups as long as you stay a member.
We have a wide variety of age ranges, but the majority of folks that attend our meetups regularly tend to be in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. But we are always looking for older members as well, especially since one of the organizers is now in her 40's. So if you're in your 50's, 60's and above, come join us!
We also encourage member participation, if you'd like to post and host your own meetup on our calendar one day. Some of our best meetup ideas, come from our members.
Please note, that Meetup charges organizers a fee to run our groups, but most of us do not pass that cost onto our members so you usually get to join our groups for free. It's a reasonable fee, but since we are paying for our groups, we get to set the basic rules for our groups. If you do not care for the rules we set for our groups, then find another group, or start your own. Meetup allows organizers to run up to three groups under the fee they charge, which is a pretty good deal.
