Short Story critique

Happy summer writers!

For those of you who were at our last meeting, you have (hopefully) begun working on your short stories already. For anyone who missed it, here are the details:

-Write a short story 1000 words or less, 12 pt font, double spaced.

-Make approx. 10 copies, staple and bring them to the next meeting.

If you submit your story, you'll also be critiquing. If you wish to skip this exercise, no problem. If you don't have a story but want to critique, should there be any extra copies, you can get involved. Come no matter what, we'd love to see you! If everyone enjoys it, we'll do it again.

If you wish to join, you can bring your dues next time. Someone else will be leading as I'll be away.

Good luck!

I'll be there. My first draft is 1300 words. Will try to edit down for Monday. But suspect I will eventually expand as there is still too much to play with in the plot. Horror take on 3 Little Pigs LOL.

Glad to see so many can come on a summer evening! It's OK if you don't have a story to bring, just come and spend some time talking with other writers. We are an inspiration and a support to one another, and I believe that's what Wendy's intent was for the group in the first place.

Now, this is bugging me. Whenever someone RSVPs, I get a message that "Ezekiel has indicated that they will NOT be attending..."

How is a person a "they"? How about "he or she"?
