I have been a pacifist for many years, and finally decided to do what I can to treat animals peacefully, including not eating products such as eggs, dairy from animals where the unwanted (i.e. male) ones are killed.
I enjoy lots of foods, but mostly anything with fresh vegetables and herbs. I don't enjoy the fake meat and cheese that much, but use it sparingly in recipes.
I like the viet curry at East-West Cafe on Proctor; breakfast treats and tofu sandwich at Cafe Dei, and the millet burritos from Quickie Too. I get a quick lunch at University of Puget Sound which has a vegan station at their dining hall.
Read mysteries, vegetable gardening (which I'm not good at), ride bike trails in the summer, investigate and try new vegan recipes, and volunteer preaching and teaching at my church (Mason United Methodist in Proctor).
I'd like to gather with other vegans to share recipes and eat good food -- to expand the limited options for restaurant fare in Tacoma
