Spend an affordable week (6 days, 5 nights) at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. We'll stay at the rustic Worldmark resort in the quaint town of Estes Park, 70 miles from Denver. The resort itself is very picturesque, with the Thompson river running through it, yet very close to town.
Rocky Mountain NP (website: http://www.nps.gov/romo/index.htm) will be breathtakingly ablaze with the shimmering gold of fall Aspens, plus wildlife viewing will be abundant with the Elk in rutting season. (There's actually a herd that tends to wander through town!). Hiking, sightseeing (tour the Stanley Hotel, which was the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining"), shopping and more - I even plan to see the Dodgers play the Rockies at Mile High Stadium :-)
The resort is first class all the way, with all the amenities to make us feel right at home. The condos have fully equipped kitchens, BBQ grills on the deck/patio, spacious dining and living rooms with fireplaces, and laundry facilities in the condos too. The resort has a heated pool and three hot tubs, a game room, etc. Here's a link to the resort web site if you'd like to check details: https://www.worldmarktheclub.com/resorts/ep/
Total cost for lodging at the resort will be $120 per person, double occupancy. Everyone will make their own travel arrangements, whether driving or flying and renting a car, but either way it is best to go in groups to share the cost. Is is not necessary for roommates or condo-mates to travel in the same group though.
When you sign up for this event, you will need to get on the wait list. Once you have arranged for a a roommate and paid a deposit of $50 to hold your space, you will be moved from the wait list to "going". The deposit is refundable until July 14, when payment of the remaining balance is also due. If you need to cancel after that date, you'll have to get someone to take your place in order to get a refund.
