Description of Work

CONSIDERED*** WORKING TITLE: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT This position will
provide high-level administrative assistance in support of the
Chairman's Office. The incumbent will use planning, consultation,
decision-making and exceptional communication skills. This position
will act as liaison to the Chairman's staff with the public, boards
and other governmental entities. Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, providing support in strategic planning implementation;
securing information/data and preparing reports and memos; responding
to information requests for the internal/external customer; managing
the Chairman's reports and using organizational skills to expedite
high priority projects. This position will be responsible for the
communication and or implementation of policies,


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to exhibit exceptional written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and
interpreting policies and procedures. Considerable knowledge of
modern office procedures, practices and equipment. Ability to be well
organized and detail oriented. Ability to handle confidential
information sensitively in a highly professional manner General
knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration of
public administration and business administration Management
Preferences: Prior management experience and/or senior level public
relations and communications/marketing experience.


Training and Experience Requirements

Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of
experience in personnel, budgeting, research, or administrative
management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Description of Work
**WORKING TITLE - PERSONNEL DIRECTOR II** **MUST INCLUDE POSITION

purpose of this position is to manage the Human Resource office and
provide assistance on various management projects that cross agency
program lines. This is achieved through supervising a large Human
Resource Office, providing technical oversight and program
coordination on policy issues related to all HR management including
employee relations, EEO, benefits, merit system testing & register
maintenance, workers' compensation and disability. This position has
direct and second level supervisory responsibilities. This position
also serves as ESC Special Assistant managing assignments/new programs
with an agency wide impact. This role requires a full understanding
of the organizational dynamics goals and


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to supervise the planning and development of new or modified
personnel programs; to promote personnel practices and principles as a
part of the total management process; to plan and direct the work of a
moderately large staff of personnel supervisors and analysts; and to
establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency
managers and officials as well as State Personnel officials.


Training and Experience Requirements

Graduation from a four year college or university, preferably with
coursework applicable to personnel administration, and four years of
experience involving the development and operation of personnel
programs, the development of proposed policies and implementation
procedures, and the interpretation and application of policies and
standards including at least three years of supervisory and
administrative personnel work; or an equivalent combination of
training and experience. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited
institutions.
