Get into the swing of the holiday season with this extremely funny and politically-incorrect pantomime from Wild Rice. At the end of November / beginning of December every year, Wild Rice puts on a fun-filled show which has something for everyone. And there's always a Singaporean twist to a classic fairy tale. This year, Jack and the Beanstalk will transfer to Singapore and become Jack and the Bean-Sprout (what else?)! Just to give you a hint - MBS is mentioned, as are loan sharks and rising costs and yes, there is a cow. Sounds familiar? Find out more below! In true panto style, expect gender bending, cross-dressing, audience participation and more! If you have children, bring them along!
How to reserve tickets:
Wild Rice is offering a 20% discount off the ticket price to Theatre Junkies attending the matinee on Saturday, 7 December at 2.30pm.
So, for CAT 1 tickets, you will pay $63 including the $3 SISTIC fee (usual price $78).
For CAT 2 tickets, you will pay $55 including the $3 SISTIC fee (usual price $68).
If you would like to join me, please contact Ross Toh at Wild Rice (email: [masked]) and mention that your are from Theatre Junkies - Nithia's Group. Whether you opt for CAT 1 tickets or CAT 2 or CAT 3, Ross will do his best to seat you with the others from Theatre Junkies. However, this depends on ticket availability etc., so don't delay for too long! If you are coming as a family, do ask about Family packages. Ross will advise you on payment and collection of tickets.
We can meet for a pre-show drink & snack at the Makarios Cafe which is in the foyer of the Drama Centre on Level 3. I will aim to be there before 1.30pm.
So, hope you will join me in kick-starting the holiday season with Jack and the Bean-Sprout! If you have any questions, please get in touch!
