COLLECTED STORIES at American Blues Theater

AMERICAN BLUES THEATER Presents:

COLLECTED STORIES
Written by Pulitzer Prize Winner Donald Margulies
Co-Directed by Mary Ann Thebus and Steppenwolf Artistic Associate Jessica Thebus
Featuring ABT Ensemble Members Carmen Roman and Gwendolyn Whiteside http://www.americanbluestheater.com/season-news/2012-2013-season/collected-stories/

Collected Stories chronicles the relationship between two female writers: Ruth Steiner (Carmen Roman), a celebrated New York author with a dry wit and a distinguished career and her bright-eyed young protégé, Lisa Morrison (Gwendolyn Whiteside). As their relationship evolves and the line between fact and fiction starts to blur, their fascinating story comes to an explosive conclusion.

Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies spans six years in six heartfelt, tightly written scenes in a two-character tour-de-force that the New York Times declares “engaging tale of aesthetics and ethics with intelligence and sharp, literate humor.”

The play was really good. I think the performances will get better as the actors get used to the parts.

I was glad finally to meet the group. I adopted a dog and she must have experienced a trauma; but I am training her to stay alone without disturbing the other tenant. So I hope to be able to join in more often.

Sorry for the late notice, but I'm sick and wouldn't be able to make it through the play without a lot of coughing.
