I Know There's A Lot Of Noise Outside But You Have To Close Your Eyes

Come and join me for an evening that's part of the NIDA Independent Program!

Katie and Imogen are childhood friends (BFF’s 4 EVA), who get together for a
girls’ night out, a well-intentioned reunion.  We soon find out that they have
little left in common – Imogen brings out a raspberry vodka cocktail after Katie
has insisted on a beer.  Imogen loves fashion label clothes and SEX IN THE CITY culture, whilst Katie is an academic pragmatist in an op-shop outfit worth
$8.00.  (Review from Sydney Arts Guide)

The clichés end here.  In their struggle to connect, the small
talk gets bigger and feistier until both insults and anger begin to break the
superficial ice.  We end up on a rollercoaster of confrontation and fantasy -
somewhat confusing, very funny and intriguing.  They begin to find their lost
thread of friendship as they launch into their sexual secrets and the real truth
about loneliness and unsatisfactory relationships.
- I’m Trying to Kiss You Productions

Even though the RSVP date has closed you can book individually by going to NIDA (just google it)  & then to what's on.

Hope to see you there. Any questions please just ring me 0417171450.

I didn't get it. I know the writers must have had an idea of what they were doing, but I didn't get it. I understood the first ten minutes, and the last five, and they could have been the basis for an interesting scenario, but I have no idea what the rest had to do with it. The acting was good, though.

Enjoyed meeting everyone. Great mix of people, friendly and talkative.

The play was all over the place, but the acting fantastic.

Unfortunately the information on the play provided by the producers didn't
match the actual play - the play was a mess, no narrative & difficult to understand what they were trying to say. Acting excellent.
