好きな人には好きと言おう (Sukina Hitoniwa Suki to Iou)

[masked])

Since I'll be working tomorrow at the office anyway, it'll be here in the same office building (maybe conference room), and the address will be sent to the attendees shortly, as well as materials we'll use.  Probably some comics.

Hi everyone,

Hope this finds you well.

They say the fastest way to master any language is to have a boyfriend/girlfriend who speaks it, and I think it's true.)  And if you don't happen to have one, at least you can learn from romantic novels, dramas, movies, songs, stories, etc.

For quite some time I had been cherishing the idea of having this new language series, and just recently I felt comfortable enough to actually start it. The title is literally translated as:

Sukina Hito = someone you like, love Suki to iu = tell that you like (the person)

Iou = Let's tell

(Can someone give a proper English title? )

Yes, 人生一度きり (Jinsei Ichido Kiri = There's only one life to live) だから、好きな人には、思い切って好きと言ったほうがいいよね。  Better to tell your special someone that you love him/her, right?)

For class materials, I'll pick from Japanese stories, movies, dramas and novels and we'll study and maybe practice together how to tell your true feelings and emotions.

You can let me know if you have any materials you want me to use.

The goal is to not only learn useful phrases, but also to explore cultural and gender differences so that it can help you enhance your understanding and better communicate in Japanese, especially with someone you love.

I'm hoping to have the class once a month, and basically any level of Japanese language learners are welcome, but at least you should have a passion and seriousness to learn as I might give you some homework too.

The venue will be announced later, but I'm thinking of renting a classroom again, and to cover the rental fee and avoid having too many last-minute cancellations and no-shows, I'm collecting $5 by Paypal upfront.

Hope you can join,

Sally

    Sally, looks intriguing! Do you have any ballpark location (i.e. city or general side of town) so I can tell how easily I can make it? Thanks.

      OK, Peter, why don't I make it in Downtown so it's a bit easier for you to come?)
