Think Act Change: "Half the Sky" Screening w/ Q&A

We'll be showing a screening of Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. There are two parts of this documentary.

This documentary, shot in 10 countries: Cambodia, Kenya, India, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Liberia and the U.S. Inspired by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn's book, the documentary series introduces women and girls who are living under some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable — and fighting bravely to change them. Traveling with intrepid reporter Nicholas Kristof and A-list celebrity advocates the film reflects viable and sustainable options for empowerment and offers an actionable blueprint for transformation.

The screening is FREE and first come, first serve. A suggested donation of $10 online will secure you a seat. All donations will go towards a Half the Sky featured NGO's to support their ongoing work for women across the world through crowdrise.

Amazing turnout of people who made time to attend today. Looking forward to putting a larger fundraising team together to either build a school or shelter for trafficked victims.

The start time may change slightly. The documentary is over 3.5 hrs and we are planning to take a 20-30min break in between the two parts so everyone can stretch their legs and grab a drink/bite.
