What is your business or interest?

I make businesses look good and foster their success — I help assess their communication needs, and create the materials they need in order to present their information to their target audiences in a memorable, user-friendly manner — I do logo design and conceptual planning/design of marketing materials, brochures, books, advertising campaigns, exhibit displays; as well as concept design for websites.

What or who is a good referral for you?

Small to medium size businesses who are looking for agency level graphic design work with a more personal touch, and see the value of professionally designed marketing materials. Specifically interested in connections in the private school/college arena, green design & environmentally responsible companies. My ultimate goal is to build long-term relationships with interesting businesses. Would love to meet the right connection to get into high end book design!

How do you think Think LOCAL! will be able to help you and/or your business?

I've made the mistake of getting engrossed in my work and not spending time networking before; I enjoy MST meetings, as they're professional without being overly structured. I hope that by going to the meetings on a regular basis, I'll get to know people well, and continually make new contacts, which will inevitably lead to new clients.

Introduction

I'm a freelance graphic designer based in North Yarmouth. A professional designer since 1981, I moved back to Maine in 2000, and started my own business, Guernsey Graphics. My job is fun, but I take your business seriously.
