Environment and Economy Special Evening - Paradise or Oblivion Film viewing

This evening will watch and then dicuss the ideas presented in the 45 min online film 'Paradise or Oblivion'.

Do you care about the environment but are overwelmed by the doom and gloom projections?

Do you worry about the growing levels of economic inequality?

This documentary suggest what the root causes are of the social, economic and especially environmental problems we see today. Uniquely however, it presents not only the huge problem but also a complete systemic solution and in doing so offers wonderful topics for discussion.

It features the life-long work of Social Engineer, Futurist, Inventor and Industrial Designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a Resource-Based Economy.

The film will be followed by small group and whole plenary discussions.

    Sound was a little distorted

Thanks for that feedback Damian. I have noticed that the volume varies between films (which can result in distortion on some) I will do a live sound check in future.

Sorry Paul, feeling a little tired this afternoon so decided I'm going to have a lazy evening at home. After your recommendation I did watch this short film :) Hope you all have a good evening discussing it - would love to hear your thoughts on it next time we meet. Have a great eve!

Hi Paul, I will need to leave a bit early tomorrow. Is that OK or will I be messing up plans or anything?

No that's fine Kirsty, we may well be done by 9.30 anyway.
