Yeah, I gamed for a session with the founder of the North Phoenix D&D Meetup Group before he had his group together.  Nice enough guy, but kinda screwed the rest of us by not letting us now he had abandoned ship.  Meant we had to cancel a couple of gaming sessions needlessly.  But it's water under the bridge-- we're actually gaming way the heck out in Surprise, where several of our former group members recently relocated.  Crazy long hike for a game, but a good game nonetheless.

If youre consolidating with The North Phoenix Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group, Im not sure Id do that. The admin kicked me out of the meetup because my days off didnt match those of his own gaming group. I thought the purpose of the meetup was to find other gamers and possibly have many groups using it, but thats not the case with this guy. If youre not on his schedule, you can get out- thats his philosophy, and he told me I could re-apply when my days off match his.

Ive been gaming for about 28 years, but my days off are Thursday and Friday right now and theres soon to be domestic chaos in my home, in the form of a newborn. Basically I am unable to do anything on a consistent basis until probably July, but I can host one-offs of things like BattleTech, BFG, Federation Commander, and WHFB. Im also a member of the Arizona Mages Guild meetup, but they meet Saturday evenings when I am at work. Pretty large group, though, and welcomes new members. Best of all, nobody gets the boot for not being on an approved work schedule.

Looks like we're going to be canceling this meetup, folks. Many sincere apologies. Shortly after we set it up, many of the core members of my gaming group suddenly had to quit for legitimate and unexpected reasons. After much debating, the rest of us have decided to consolidate with a different group, and we now have more than enough players for our gaming needs.

That said, if anyone wants to take over the reigns of this Meetup as organizer and pull together a gaming group, I think there's probably enough like-minded players here to form a nice campaign. Any DMs out there? I'd be more than glad to help facilitate a Meetup, if there is continued interest in doing so. Just let me know.

Thanks, and take care!
