The idea for this Adyashanti-inspired Study Group is outlined in this thread on our Message Board.

You don't need to come to every meeting to participate in this Subgroup. We are experimenting with allowing 7 people (plus Cynthia and me) at our apartment - 2 more than we had before. There is a waiting list for anyone beyond the first five. If you sign up, and then find you can't make it, PLEASE take yourself off the list for this meeting.

The download link for the very wonderful FREE PDF eBook is on the linked Message Board page. If you want to be involved with this THRIVE Santa Cruz Subgroup, please download the book and (at least try to) read it before coming. It's very short, a little less than 50 short pages. You may be able to read it in two focused sittings, and if you're interested in this material it will go easily, as it's a truly essential teaching that's very clearly and accessibly written.

Though of course no approach to spirituality is for everyone, the approach outlined in "The Way of Liberation is simple and essential and, ultimately, does not attack or deny anyone's belief systems. The people who have attended the meetings so far all seem to have found the material practical and thought provoking.

The meetings are composed of a meditation at the beginning, and then reading of a section or sections of the text agreed on in advance, with a lively discussion of what we're reading as we go. The group is working with guidelines that you can find on our "The Way of Liberation" Message Board thread.

We look forward to seeing you.

Bruce (and Cynthia)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
