Join us for a guided walking tour of Yorkville led by Bill Genova, one of Toronto's most knowledgeable historians and storytellers. After the tour, Bill will join us for lunch at a popular neighbourhood restaurant where you can grill him some more on Toronto history!
Our group is getting a 60 per cent discount off regular tickets for Bill's tour. We will pay $10. Regular price is $25 for this tour.
Yorkville is one of Toronto’s toniest neighbourhoods. However, it has a storied past as a village originally outside of Toronto. Our tour will visit many of the highlights of historic Yorkville, including Potter’s field cemetery at Bloor and Yonge St., the town hall, Mount Sinai hospital, the jail and firehall, and Carnegie library.
Today’s Yorkville is much reduced. At one time, it included parts of the Annex and Rosedale, areas that we'll visit to see some of the great Victorian homes that still stand today. More information.
