Join the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for a behind-the-scenes look at how the orchestra prepares for a concert. The rehearsal will be led by Music Director, Peter Oundjian. The orchestra is joined by violinist Ray Chen to perform Mendelssohn’s dramatic and alluring Violin Concerto. Ray is a compelling violinist making his debut with the TSO. More information

TIME: Rehearsal is from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Meet Daniel at 9:30 a.m.

WHERE: Backstage entrance to Roy Thomson Hall (go through the parking lot at the northwest corner of Wellington Street and Simcoe Street) (a little west of the St. Andrews station on the on the Yonge subway line) 


MEETUP FEE: $2 per attendee (Please pay Daniel exact cash at the meetup spot)

SEATING ARRANGEMENTS: Seating is unreserved and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our group will enter the seating area together and sit together as a group so please don't be late!


Meet Daniel at 9:30 a.m. in the lineup outside the backstage entrance off Wellington Street at Simcoe Street. The backstage entrance's exact location is at the back of the parking lot at the northwest corner of Wellington and Simcoe. Daniel looks exactly like his photo and will be wearing a red cap. If you're late, look for Daniel in his red cap in the concert hall.  

GATHERING AFTER REHEARSAL: If members are interested, the group will go out for brunch after the rehearsal to the affordable Artisano Bakery at 214 King Street West, across the street from Roy Thomson Hall.

    I had to change my RSVP to no because I sent an RSVP to the TSO email address and got a message back saying that the event is full. I am disappointed that I am missing it. If you are going I hope you enjoy the event.
