This is one of my favourite books and was concerned about how they would handle the subject matter. I felt the first act dragged on and only focused on one aspect of obsession. It wasn't until the second act that the true nature of the book came through and you saw how obsession to lifestyle, drugs and one's own moral teachings are just as obsessive and can lead to misery and unhappiness as well. Completely lost was how the main character matured and changed over the course of the book. However loved the staging and use of music, flawless execution by the actors and overall feel of Victorian England. I enjoyed this play but would have prefer a shorter first act and more focus on the charters obsession with art, as in the book.

Well acted by most of the cast. Great special effects and use of the stage. However I felt it really rushed through the events from the book especially in the second act. It is hard to do justice to this book in the relatively short time a play allows.

An exceptionally rich and powerful production ... Such creative use of lighting and musical instruments to enhance strong emotion ... So clever in how the producer touched on so many of our basic human foibles - demonstrating our slavery to our strong human emotions. Thanks to all members for sharing this experience with me ... and a warm welcome to Susi's guest Paula.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
