Clint Eastwood's JERSEY BOYS (Movie based on stage musical)(DETAILS CONFIRMED)

  • June 20, 2014 · 6:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us for the movie version of Jersey Boys, a musical biography drama directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Christopher Walken.

We'll be joined at this event by our friends from Mad About Movies.

You can also see the stage production of Jersey Boys with our group. We will be going on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at the Ed Mirvish Theatre.

THE FILM

The story of the rise of the music group The Four Seasons, with a special focus on their lead singer, Frankie Valli (John Lloyd Young) the small kid with the big falsetto.

In addition to following the group’s coming of age as performers, the core of the show displays how an allegiance to a code of honor learned on the streets of their native New Jersey got them through a multitude of challenges: gambling debts, Mafia threats and family disasters. More information.

Still prefer the musical version over the film. But the background story among the four members and their personal relationships were interesting. Looking forward to see the musical in December again.
