HOLIDAY COMEDY: Parfumerie (Soulpepper Theatre $22)

Join us for Parfumerie, an award-winning, heartwarming holiday hit written by Hungarian playwright Miklós László's.

The story is a Christmas favourite that formed the basis for the films You've Got Mail and The Shop Around The Corner. Presented by the Soulpepper Theatre Company at Toronto's historic Distillery District.

Our group will save up to 70 per cent off regular ticket prices by purchasing rush tickets, which are usually best available on Mondays.

THE PLAY

The smash hit of 2011 returns! Two clerks in a Budapest perfume shop feud by day and unknowingly exchange anonymous love letters by night. It's one of the world's most beloved stories. Winner of the 2010 Dora Award for Outstanding Production. More information.

ABOUT SOULPEPPER THEATRE: Soulpepper is considered to be one of the best small theatres in Toronto. It consistently offers professional, high-quality productions. It is also one of the priciest small theatres in the city. To save money, Thumbs Up will be going to Soulpepper's productions on Monday and Tuesday nights in 2013 when cheap rush tickets are usually in good supply. Please note a seat is not guaranteed for a rush ticket! More information.

RUSH TICKETS: Get into the box office lineup for rush tickets on the day of performance. Consecutive numbers for rush tickets will be given out by the box office beginning at 6:30 p.m. The lower your number (number 1 is best!), the better your chances of getting a rush ticket. At 7 p.m. the box office will start calling out the numbers in the order they were given out until all rush tickets are sold. To get a low number, it's best to line up early at the box office -- by 5:45 p.m. if possible. Belinda will check on availability of rush tickets closer to the performance date.

BOX OFFICE CONTACT INFO: Call the box office at (416)[masked], ext. 1.

Members are responsible for buying their own ticket directly from the theatre.

SEATING ARRANGEMENTS: This theatre has assigned seating. This means it may not be possible to sit together as a group. However, we will get together before, during and after the show.

MEETUP ARRANGEMENTS

Meet Lisa at 5:45 p.m. in the box office lineup. She looks like her photo and will be holding up a Thumbs Up meetup sign.

I had a great time. Loved the play. Thank you Belinda for suggesting it, Lisa for hosting it. Lovely meeting all of you. (And the talk afterwards was cool- found out about it when I went back into the theatre to get the scarf I'd left behind)
