How do you find a market opportunity in the emerging software defined networking market and turn it into a successful tecnology startup company. This is what Arash and his team were able to do at Caridan after founding in 2001. The team quickly grew it to be a respected developer of the industry standard for IP/MPLS planning and traffic engineering software and adapted it to emerging software defined networking market. The company was acquired by Cisco for $141 million in cash and retention-based incentives in December 2012. Today, a large majority of the global tier-1 ISPs rely on Caridan’s software to ensure network visibility, reliability, efficiency and performance while improving service velocity, as do PTTs, MSOs, mobile operators, and many other operators of large networks in both the public and private sectors.

Arash’s story will be inspiring not just to founders, entrepreneurs but also, to professionals and executives in large companies who are trying to understand the opportunity and challenges in taking advantage of a new markets such as software defined networking etc... Join us to hear from this amazingly successful entrepreneur, ask all your questions, learn from his successful experiences and connect with other aspiring entrepreneurs at TiE office on Tuesday August 6, 2013.
