    Anyone like to play bridge?

    June 30, 2013

    • Christopher

I know we have at least one bridge fan, and a number of people who have played in the past and are willing to give it a go. I don't recall seeing it actually played on game night, but I think that if you propose a game you'll find players.

I recall a bit of confusion as people tried to recall what variants of Bridge they'd played in the past, 'contract' or something less formal, so it would be great if you're willing to guide the people who haven't played in ages (and those willing to brave it for the first time!).

FYI for new members: the picture of our game selection is woefully out of date. These days, our collection doesn't seem to fit into one room, let alone one thumbnail image. Someday I should tally up how many of them I've actually played... I don't even know if I'm catching up or falling behind!

It's an excellent problem to have. :-)

You'll find that we play a wide variety of board games (running the full gamut from easy & fast up to epic levels of complexity), cards, words, trivia, geometric patterns, lighthearted party games for the whole group to unwind with, and so on.

Accordingly, my advice to newcomers is to speak up (early) if you want to play a specific game or type of game -- most of us are flexible and will likely say "sure!".
