Cherry Blossom night exposure, here we go. This night workshop will introduce night photography by using long exposures and incorporating flash to light your foreground and scenery (also called light painting).
As of this morning, the blooms are still a couple of days away from peak and I think we need another day of full sun to really break out. I'm going to shoot for Wednesday as having a pretty good set of blooms for our night photography. Thursday should nice and the weekend should be spectacular!
Best place to park is on Ohio Drive in front of Franklin Roosevelt Memorial. You should have no problem finding open spaces here at this hour. We will meet in front of Martin Luther King Memorial near the Tidal Basin. Please be aware that Ohio Drive is a ONE WAY (east to west) street during the blossom festivals.
As of now, I only plan to have Wednesday and Thursday night workshops, Friday is still a possibility.
What to bring: You are welcome to bring any camera equipment you want, however, you will only need the following. I will provide the portable flash.
wide angle lens
remote shutter release
headlamp or flashlight
Please dress for appropriate temperature.
Price: $60, payment will be required to reserve your space.
