Hi, I attended a year or so ago and then did not return after vacation to sign up. I loved the group, I just did not want to commit to an every week group and although I've successfully done this in the past, it is too stiffling for me. Sorry. Good luck in the future.

Thank you for the greeting, Susan. It was great meeting the group. I was impressed with the toastmasters group and will definitely be back on Tuesday. This is just the kind of teaching group that I am looking for. Thank you.

Hello and welcome. The purpose of this meet up is to promote the Toast of the Bay Toastmasters club located in Rolling Hills. If you are unfamiliar with or are new to Toastmasters, please visit the Toastmasters International website at http://toastmasters.org. Although we would love to have you come visit our club, if our location is not convenient for you, please visit the Toastmasters website to find a location that may be closer to you.

Please note that we have about 25 club members that are not a part of this Meet Up group and not all members of this Meet Up group are members of Toast of the Bay Toastmasters group. We consistently have about 15-20 members at each meeting.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking skills through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests. Toastmasters International includes more than 199,000 men and women in more than 9,300 clubs in more than 70 countries.

Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable and safe environment with people who are there for the same reason you are—to become better communicators.

At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour and a half. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation. There is a $5 yearly fee to join this Meet Up group which allows you to attend meetings as a guest as often as you like. Should you decide to join Toastmasters in order to receive the full benefits of the program, your $5 Meet Up fee will be deducted from your Toastmasters membership fee.
