Also know as the "Mud Festival", the Warabi Naked Man Festival is a traditional ceremony in Yotsukaido City. The main Shinto rite is not open to the public, but the festivities that begin afterwards at 1:00pm welcome all visitors. These festivities include mochi making, purifications, hundred-times-prayer, and most famously, mud-throwing and "kibasen" wrestling battles (teams of 3 men holding up a 4th on their shoulders try to knock over other such teams) in a pit of mud by a bunch of local men wearing loincloths.
