William H. Saito is a visionary entrepreneur and leader who has shaped information security policy, founded startups and managed public corporations over the past two decades.
Named Entrepreneur of the Year in 1998 by Ernst & Young, NASDAQ and USA Today, he is a technologist who is as comfortable in the boardroom as he is in the lab.
An encryption, authentication and biometric technology expert, he made his first company, I/O Software Inc., a global leader in security software development. After it was acquired in 2004, he moved to Tokyo and started Intecur, a consultancy that helps companies identify, develop and market innovative technologies.
He devised the world's first commercial biometric authentication system with Sony, and subsequently licensed the programming interface to Microsoft and more than 140 other companies.
Fluent in English and Japanese, Mr. Saito is astute in Asian culture and has an extensive international network of major corporations, industry experts and government organizations throughout the United States, Japan and Asia.
An author and public speaker, Saito has earned numerous industry accolades and congressional recognition. He currently advises the FBI, Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and similar institutions.
He will share his experiences as an entrepreneur and offer advise for those looking to found a company.

It is about 7-8 minutes walk from the JR/Keikyu Shinagawa station, Takanawa exit.
From the Takanawa exit(the same exit as the Shinagawa Prince Hotel) turn right.
Walk along the national route #15 until you see Seven Eleven. Cross the street at the
Seven Eleven and keep on walking along the route #15. You will see Tully's and Lexus'
showroom on your left. Turn left at the pedestrian bridge(there is a vending machine at
the corner). Keep on walking (Takanawa park will be on your left) till the end of the path.
Turn left (at the Tozenji Temple). There is a nursery school on your left. Turn left again
after walking for about 20 seconds at the parking lot . Then you will see an old house
on your left. The entrance is on the 2nd floor.
