Marianne raised the issue of a gluten free diet. We didn't specifically talk about that on Tuesday, but the food recommendations were gluten free in general, as were most of the food samples except for the German sourdough rye. We never recommend lots of starchy foods, emphasizing good fats instead.

Nearly 40 registered for the class, but it was a very cold night and some were sick, so there were only 27 in attendance, but we had a good time. There are always a few who are very surprised to learn fat & cholesterol are good for you

Would this event be beneficial to someone with Celiac Disease?

I just wondered if there would be a discussion about gluten free foods, as well as recommended probiotics and enzymes. I don't know much about the latter two, but I am told they would be beneficial to improvement of my health along with the gluten free diet.

have read so much about about GMO and it scares me. I would like to learn if I can undo some of the damage.

God has given us a body that is able to heal itself if given the nutrients it needs and the harmful edibles are stopped.

No one is really talking about how to 'undo' the damage, but as Linda says the body will heal if given adequate nutrition and you avoid all GMO's - which means most processed foods.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
