Are you making a New Year's resolution to commit to your health? Need a break from the stress of the holiday season? Have you always wanted to try yoga but don't feel comfortable in a large, public class setting?
This 4 week beginner series is perfect for those new to yoga, as well as those looking to deepen their existing practice. In a slow-paced, intimate and gentle setting, students will dive into the fundamentals of classical yoga. You can develop your own at-home daily practice from the knowledge you gain from class, if that is what you wish to happen!
Topics include postural awareness, breathing techniques to promote peace and balance, simple yoga postures to stretch and strengthen the body, relaxation techniques to restore the body, meditative techniques to calm the mind, introduction to yogic mantra, and more.
Pace and other topics covered will be adapted to meet the needs and dynamic of the group. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, if you have one. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Class is held EACH Saturday in January - 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. :)
The series is presented by Melissa Perkins. This is a SMALL group, 4 people, so please register ASAP! Cost is $60 per student for the series.
