Our exciting scheduled Walk Guest is Karen Mehringer, author of "Sail into Your Dreams: 8 Steps to Living a More Purposeful Life."

Here is her bio taken from her beautiful web site at LiveAPurposefulLife.com:

"Karen Mehringer, MA, is an author, speaker, life transformation coach and the founder of Creative Transformations. Her primary work is to empower people to take risks to follow their dreams and live life to the fullest."

"She has over ten years of experience in the personal development field including a masters degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of San Diego, California (2001) and special training in energy transformation."

"Born in Hawaii and raised in California, Karen recently moved to Colorado where she resides with her husband - John, dog - Rennie and cat - Buckwheat. She loves the outdoors including hiking, skiing, snow shoeing and sailing and further loves to travel and explore new countries and cultures. In 1998, she and her husband crewed on a 46-foot sailboat for six months from Fiji to Singapore via Vanuatu, Australia, and Indonesia. As the author of Sail Into Your Dreams: Eight Steps to Living More Purposeful Life, Karen highlights some of her traveling experiences and the life lessons learned to create a unique and inspiring self-help book."

Our Walk Co-Hosts for this TTW walk are Fran and Richard Rew. Fran said, "My first opportunity to bask in Karen's happy glow was at a Business Honoring Spirituality weekly Thursday 7:00 am breakfast. Richard and I are enjoying an inspirational start to our day by reading her book out loud to each other during our morning bath and breakfast routine."

Visit the TopicTalkWALKS.com (TTW) web site to learn more about the walking talk-show TTW-style of walking.

Even though the hosted part of the walk is only 30 minutes from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, individuals or groups may choose to walk for a longer period of time with or without a walking group conversation.

After the walk, Fran and Richard enjoy attending the monthly 7:00 pm "60 Minutes in Space" presentation in the planetarium of the museum. Fran and Richard usually have at least 3 to 4 extra free reserved tickets to share on a first-come-first-serve basis for those who are interested.

Before and after each TTW walk for those who ask in their RSVP when they register for each walk, we have free snacks available courtesy of TTW's first in-kind sponsors Larabar, and Elegant Catering - while the supply lasts.

My family and I enjoyed everything about the time except perhaps the mayflies! Karen's story and how she followed her passions and dreams got us all thinking about our lives and fulfilling our own dreams. My children enjoyed Richard's inventive ways - science gatgets and fun contraptions of all sorts. Thanks for the time!

I loved the way Karen Mehringer gave each of us an opportunity to share what we have been happiest doing in our lives. It was so inspiring to actually walk with the author of "Sail into Your Dreams". Between her book and looking into her happy blue eyes, her memory of her six-month-long sailing journey from Fiji to Singapore came alive in my mind, with the smell of the ocean, the wet splash of the waves, and the dolphins playing along side of me.
    •  I really enjoyed my time meeting new people and sharing about our dreams. The group had great, positive energy and it was a joy to spend my time with them! Thanks for organizing this, Fran! Karen

Karen was a positive, vibrant person who likes to help others live satisfied and fulfilled lives. She has some great thoughts on how we can follow our dreams and clear away the culture of materialism that clutters our lives. Simplifying our lives can help us fulfill our dreams.
