Walk Guest Joan L. Mitchell, Ph.D. is a Longmont resident, and the author of Dr. Joan's Mentoring Book: Straight Talk About Taking Charge of Your Career." Dr. Joan is an IBM Fellow (an elite group of 60 or so who guide and advise), and one of the most successful patent recipients in the nation. Through her 32-year career with IBM she has co-invented and has done research on the QuietWriter technology, Facsimille (FAX) data compression and the internationally accepted JPEG standard. As of June 6, 2008, Dr. Joan has 92 patents.
The Walk Co-Hosts for this walk are Richard and Fran Rew, and Suzanne Rowe.
