Play a free backgammon tournament

FREE BACKGAMMON TOURNAMENTS

Yes! There is a Santa Claus!
We are trying a new idea to promote backgammon. Starting at our former haunt, the Legends Sports Pub, 774 Danforth Ave (between Pape and Donlands subway stations).
All bar clients on the day of the tournament will receive a tournament entry voucher.
You will be paired at random as opponents become available.
The winner of one game advances to the next round. All matches are of one point – so anyone can win!
The eventual overall winner gets a prize (cash or voucher) equal to $2 per player in the tournament. Thus if there are 50 entries, the winner gets $100.
If we can get a good turnout, the sponsor will offer this event on a regular basis. In that case this could be repeated weekly or monthly! Please help make this a regular event.

The first event is set for 2pm Sunday April 28

Be there!

Actually, we had 8 join the last tournament. Hopefully, the next will double that number.

    Free tournament – April 28

A rather poor turnout for our first free tournament as only seven signed in. The first player to lose was re-entered to complete an 8 player bracket. Three quick matches earned Louis Picard a handsome first prize of $16!
Although I was disappointed at the low turnout, the bar owner was OK with it and offered to repeat the offer of a prize of $2 for every entrant. So skipping next Sunday which is Greek Orthodox Easter, we will try again on Sunday May 12. Circle that date on your calendar!

    See you then,
    Vlad Dobrich

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
