The Toronto BoardGame and Social Meetup Group is all about making new friends and learning new boardgames together through casual, non-competitive events.

No matter your previous experience in gaming, you'll find something interesting and challenging at our events, which vary from small gatherings at an organizer's home to large gatherings in restaurants. We sometimes bring out traditional games and party games, but most events are focused around more modern strategy games, which have a wide variety of lengths and that we are always willing to teach to new players.

Since this group is all about meeting up in real life, it is important to be able to recognize each other at events. As such, to join the group and to RSVP for events, you will need an actual first name as your profile name and a recognizable photo of yourself as your profile picture.

There is no cost to join or attend events and most events are open to all members. However, some of our events will have costs (for example, convention entry fees or food & drink at restaurants) that attendees will have to pay or requirements that attendees will have to meet so be sure to read the description before RSVPing for any event.
