Join us for Toronto Girl Geek Dinner #19 with Carol Leamn, CEO, PostRank.

Founded in 2007 and based in Waterloo, Ontario, PostRank (originally AideRSS, Inc.) monitors and collects social engagement events correlated with online content in real-time across the web. PostRank gathers where and when stories generate comments, bookmarks, tweets, and other forms of interaction from a host of social hubs. Publishers and people interested in their content use PostRank Data Services and Analytics to gauge influence and reach with audiences.

Carol Leaman, CEO of PostRank, will talk to us about how she identifies opportunities and helps companies achieve their potential. Her background includes management consulting, virtual reality and software. She'll share some of her tips for entrepreneurs and talk about what's on the horizon for social engagement monitoring and PostRank.

It was great to hear about all of Carol's experiences (brought back memories of a company that I worked for that filed for bankruptcy, arose under a new name and then filed again for bankruptcy).
Also, since there is such a diverse group of people, I propose that there is a quick intro of everyone in the room and their backgrounds, as well as highlights of any job opportunities and those looking for new roles to better utilize 1's time after the presentation for networking with others later.

Great meetup. Carol was very inspiring and Postrank looks like an awesome product. Can't wait to have time to look more into it.

Carol, put some of her stories to light which were interesting and the struggles as women in a dominate role. Although a decent story teller, I would have appreciate more structure to her talk. And really talk about how women can succeed and lessons learned. And how that can relate to us as women either in senior roles or for those who are aspiring to achieve those roles. I would appreciate more of a networking session, maybe encourage a switch of tables during the first 10 to 15 minutes to encourage networking. Have an introduction of the room especially beneficial for folks who are looking for jobs and this would also identify recruiters or people who have jobs. that's my two cents., Vanda Orsini

Good anecdotes. I liked the stories about how you actually got where you are, what nonsense went on with the three brothers and the father, how professionals can go from accounting to CEO - very interesting. I also liked learning about the $9/month offering where you can know where your content is going, as well as where the content from four competitors is going - this is very cool, relevant info. Thanks.

I've seen Carol speak a few times. Her openness to sharing her career experiences is inspiring and she had some interesting stories to share. I also enjoyed learning more about PostRank and hints of what to expect in the future.
