So I'm running the openjdk (7 if memory serves) on my home Linux box. Apache's already on there as well. It's running Ubuntu Precise but will be switching to Debian in the fall. My question is -- what packages do I need to throw on there to have a workable EE7 installation I can bring work home to? Maven, Ant? Can it be FOSS? Thanks!

That's bleeding edge :) I run JEE6 on Quantal (12.10) using JBoss and also WL12c. I think for JEE7 you have to use Glassfish. I find almost everything runs fine on Ubuntu except Oracle 11g which requires some major config work.
