The film for this Friday's movie is the historical thriller, "Argo," a dramatization based on the 1980 joint Canadian-CIA secret operation to rescue 6 American diplomats from revolutionary Iran. It stars Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, and John Goodman. "Argo" won 2012 Academy Awards for Best Film Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture. Note: "Argo" has been criticized for changing history, especially for minimizing the role that the Canadian embassy played in the rescue and for lying that the American refugees were turned away by the British and New Zealand embassies, both of whom helped the Americans. For a more honest depiction of the events, watch "Escape From Iran: The Canadian Caper" available here:

    Hope to see you Friday!
